Kenora – The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation (KLWCF) is gearing up for its major fundraiser of the year. “We are thrilled to be celebrating our 15th Festival of Trees at the Lake of the Woods Museum this year. The Lake of the Woods Museum is where the very first Festival of Trees was held” said event co-chairs, Patti Edie and Allyson Pele. “It feels right that we should return to the Museum to celebrate 15 years of fundraising for the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation”.

The 15th Annual Festival of Trees Charity Fundraiser will be held on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1, 2018. The event will begin on Friday with “An Enchanted Christmas Gala” at 7:00 p.m. and continue on Saturday with Community Day from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Christmas Tea from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

“We will have a combination of live and silent auctions at the “An Enchanted Christmas” Gala, said Allyson Pele. “We will have beautifully decorated trees, local artwork, including silent auction items. There is something for everyone’s bidding pleasure”, said Patti Edie.

This year’s event is presented by Platinum Sponsor, Northern Harbour, and Gold Sponsor’s Copperfin Credit Union. 89.5 The Lake – CJRL FM, and Gillons Insurance.
