KLWCF is looking for a Volunteer Member of the Board of Directors

The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation is seeking citizens interested in serving as a Volunteer Member of the Board of Directors.

The term of appointment is three years with a maximum of three terms. Time commitment is approximately one meeting per month usually over a weekday lunch hour and each Member is expected to also serve on one sub-Committee for which the time commitments vary but average 1-2 hours per month. Occasional appearances at community events is required.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation is an independent, volunteer driven, charitable organization that helps facilitate community philanthropy, by working with both donors and local charities and providing leadership on issues of community concern.

Community Foundations are amongst the fastest growing forms of philanthropy in Canada today and they all share three special features:

  • Local grant making expertise
  • Community Leadership
