The work of registered charities and not-for-profits in the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region could not happen at the level it does without the support of the Community Foundation and the funders who so generously give. These are real people with real stories, sharing the difference the grants have made in their lives and the opportunities they might not otherwise have had. - Judy Underwood, in response to the June 2016 Granting Ceremony

St. Andrew’s Community Garden

On June 12th 2017, volunteers assembled at the St. Andrew’s community garden project to officially launch the 2017 growing season. The project has been a resounding success due to the hard work of the volunteers and the tall fence separating the deer from the tasty vegetables. Plans are to expand the garden in upcoming years.

A grant of $1,116 from the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation in 2016 helped make the garden possible.
