Volunteer Recognition Ceremony

Community Foundation inaugural Board of Directors: Marie Seymour, Randall Seller and Don Parfitt were recognized for their outstanding service at a Volunteer Recognition Ceremony, held at the Best Western Lakeside Inn, by the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture in Kenora on May 27, 2014. All three individuals have served as Board of Directors for the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation, since its inception in 2004.  They have also held Executive positions in the organizations during that time; with Parfitt as President, Seller as Vice President and Seymour as Secretary. “ Don, Marie and Randy are wonderful examples of volunteers serving their community” , says Executive Director, Darlene MacGillivray. “ They have been instrumental in the development and growth of our Community Foundation in the Kenora and LOW Region and we greatly appreciate their years of service to us”, she says.
