Communications & Marketing Coordinator – Internship – One Year Contract
The Position:
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication and marketing plan. The successful applicant will assist with charity fundraising events, marketing, the development of a volunteer orientation package, and the creation of a community and donor outreach strategy. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Community Foundation’s website and social media, and developing and implementing marketing strategies for fundraising events. Fundraising events could include meetings with donors, granting ceremonies, and volunteer recognition. The successful applicant will also assist in the development of information and marketing products, including annual reports, brochures, and newsletters.
The Person:
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will have completed a post secondary degree or diploma program in Business Administration, Marketing, Journalism, Media Arts, or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, a passion for communications, marketing, and promotion to the position. Knowledge specific to philanthropy and non-profit organizations is an asset. The successful candidate will have experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, social media, and be proficient in using the internet.
Qualifications:
- University or College graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university.
- This position will be the first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
