Launch of “Max Explores Canada” – Canada’s 150th
“Max Explores Canada” was launched during the celebration of his 55th birthday. The book showcases selected entries written by local Dryden elementary students. The launch was made possible through the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th.
Dryden’s Max the Moose turned 55 on July 19th, 2017. During his celebration, the book “Max Explores Canada” was launched through funding from the Community Foundation of Canada in recognition of Canada’s 150th birthday. The Kenora and Lake of the Woods helped distribute a grant of $5,000.
The book features selected entries from local elementary students, who were encouraged to develop and write a story showcasing Max the Moose and his travels in Canada. Nicole Gale from the Dryden Development Corporation accepted the grant.
