Job Title: Executive Director (ED)

Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Kenora and Lake of the Woods Region;
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 depending on experience

Position Summary
This position serves as the Executive Director of The Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation and reports to the Board of Directors. The ED is responsible for the management and organization of all Community Foundation activities. Key functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fund development and donor stewardship
- Governance, board administration and support
- Financial and legal
- Grant-making and administering the annual granting program that offers equal opportunity to all sectors of the geographical catchment area of the Foundation
- Marketing, public relations & communications
- Strategic planning, vision development and partnerships
- Management and administration
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent and strong academic credentials in relevant field, i.e. business management, marketing, corporate administration
- A strong track record with 5+ years of leadership experience
- A proven commitment to excellence and community connection
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal communication and writing skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- A reputation for personal integrity and the highest ethical standards
- Financial management skills and experience with budgets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with donors, community leaders, volunteers and other charitable organizations
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector, including program management, granting and donor/funder experience will be considered an asset

Position Summary
This position serves as the Operations and Development Coordinator of the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation and reports to the Executive Director. The ODC is responsible for daily activities including but not limited to financials and donations; marketing, stewardship, community engagement, and events; grantmaking; administrative and operational support.
As one of two full-time staff at KLWCF; the ODC embraces the mission of the Foundation and effectively promotes and communicates its values, vision and strategic plan. As an important member of a small shop, the ODC must have strong team-oriented work ethics and values. The success of the foundation must be top priority when performing all tasks.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- A degree or diploma in business administration or applicable studies or equivalent experience
- A strong track record with 3+ years of financial, customer service and/or marketing experience
- A proven commitment to excellence
- A strong sense of community and ability to engage in a professional manner in all environments
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Publisher.
- Canva, Adobe or other print media experience an asset
- A highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, verbal communication and writing skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- A reputation for personal integrity and the highest ethical standards
- Demonstrated willingness to take ownership while working seamlessly within a positive team environment
